MaineSource strives to bring in produce from local farms during peak seasonal times. We support the local farms which in turn allows us to offer the freshest items at our stores — all right from your back yard.

Our fleet of delivery trucks brings in just-picked produce six days a week, multiple times a day, from the top growing regions. We have your best interest at heart and negotiate with our partner farms on your behalf. We work diligently to obtain the choicest produce at the lowest prices; and we pass on that value to you.

Quality Control

From rigorous in-field inspections to foolproof packaging, MaineSource has implemented programs so you can be confident in the safety of the fruits and vegetables you're serving. Our partner farms are required to perform daily field checks and undergo frequent third party inspections to ensure produce is being grown and harvested in a safe environment, free from contamination. Only the choicest produce makes it into each individual package.
You can depend upon our produce’s rigorous standards of ultimate safety and freshness due to our exclusive Produce Express 5-Star Safety Program featuring a comprehensive program addressing safety at five key points.
In addition to delivering fresh-tasting produce, our state-of-the-art distribution facilities are outfitted with temperature-controlled storage rooms as well as delivery trucks. Environments are altered depending upon what type of produce is being stored. Specific rooms exist for especially sensitive produce such as tomatoes and bananas.
